If I cop a 1TB SSD for my PS5 and install it, am I able to use both that storage and the stock drive that’s already in the ps5 at the same time? Or does it completely replace the original storage?

@PapiPedro They're talking about the new model with some small changes inside that came out in Australia I believe it was like 2 months ago... But no it's not the PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro nor does it have something extra other than it been less power consuming, the heatsink is smaller, the place where you do install the NVME M.2 SSD has another color so it's not green-ish now, it produces less heat and I believe it might be a little bit quieter... Oh and its model name is now CFI-1215B instead of CFI-1116B.

Pro in Nov 2023 would be in line with the period between ps4 to ps4 pro so it makes sense as a ballpark estimate

There’s no way the warranty is still valid with how long it’s been. This is so trash and both times it’s been a hardware malfunction that’s completely out of my hands

When’s the last time you vacuumed the dust collectors inside? I had that problem and when I cleaned it and vacuumed the dust it stopped happening. There’s a video on how to deep clean the inside, so that the internals don’t get overheated which triggers shutoffs.

I did that a few hours ago, tried to play GoW and it turned off on me. I’m gonna look into getting some deep cleaning tools, screws and whatnot though
