Most acquistion rumors are just cap and speculation

All these supposed "insiders" and nobody knew about Bungie or Activision getting acquired till the news came out officially

I doubt it, I mean, what would CDPR gain? They’d only limit their audience because their games would likely become exclusives.

Honestly though I think Uncharted 1 would benefit from a remake much more than the last of us

it would truly as someone who tried getting into it but couldn't but its a third person game. At a certain point this 70$ remaster remake train got to either slow down or stop unless you doing something to the level of resident evil and making changes or waiting long enough.

like backwards compatibility was taken as "we dont need fully backwards compatibility xbox is living in past" yet xbox did backwards compatibility and updgrades. sony keeps selling arguably unnecessary full price remakes. When some of those teams could be used to make new games. New IPs. New multiplayer smaller experiences. Coop. S*** something

There's so many games that deserve better treatment from sony yet them and ND want to focus on games that they're turning into movies

MGS may happen but thats more Konami side but Sony could spend money on getting remakes from a lot of third party developers that once helped make the PlayStation experience. Like there are all these talks of acquisitions but s*** there are so many games like Timesplitters where if you got it made again exclusive you don't have to have such a focus on timed exclusives, remakes and buying out entire companies

System shock, prince of Persia, dead space, splinter cell, perfect dark, resident evil, max Payne, advance wars, silent hill, a rumored Metroid prime remake… the industry just loves remakes period

Just the nature of this generation. It's not a huge leap like we've seen in previous generations. At a certain point graphical fidelity plateaus
