honestly starting to think the digital edition will be $399 and physical will be $499. They’ll probably only be breaking even/selling at a slight loss with the digital version but I think they’ll try to push the digital version because of the amount they can make from digital purchases compared to physical

So I’ve bought zero physical games in the entire time I’ve owned a PS4 nor have I put any DVD/Blu-Rays in. Do I just send the digital and if I ever do buy a Blu-Ray just pop it into the PS4? The problem is I just bought a brand new 4k TV and the PS4 don’t play 4k Blu Rays/DVDs.

why would i buy just to play my already ps4 games lol makes no sense. not dropping $400 to $600+ for slightly better frames & barely any smoothing textures unless it has an original library to support it.

this is nothing different. its the same spiel of every gen & ive been around long enough to know it.

and trying to stay up to pc is a waste of time. i bet the pc will move on within a year or two like always. means nothing. they are separate fields with an audience that mostly doesnt care about each other.

ur games digitally will be fine AS LONG as they're actually downloaded already.

when they get taken off the market, you won't be able to re-download or buy/re-buy them, but if its already on your console fully then you can access them forever, just don't delete. such as the PT situation or Wii system.

but yeah, you should be fine for like upwards of a decade overall such as the Wii example, before stuff gets shut down. just make sure its fully downloaded at some point in the future, or if you hear news that it might shut down in a month or whatever.

you can keep them stored on separate hard drives too instead of the actual console, & swap them out when you want.

i like to think of it kinda like memory cards back in the day.
