My friend wants to give me his games since he no longer plays on his PS4 and so I wanted to ask some questions since he’s not sure how it works and neither am I

Is PS Plus needed on any of the ps4s in order for him to give me the games?

Do I have to make a new user and login to my friend’s account through that user and set the PS4 to primary on that user or do I just login once using his PSN account on my regular user then relogin using mine?
    Thanks in advance

So here’s exactly what we do.
Her ps4 has my account as primary, her account as well.
My playstation just has my account (not primary obviously).
I have ps plus, she does not. I think if the “primary” account has ps plus, it’s granted to anyone using that ps4. I log in to my account on her ps4, download whatever games, then swap to her account and it’s good to go.

The only downside is on my PlayStation not being primary, I can’t play games if I don’t have internet to verify licenses

Has anyone upgraded their SSD in their PS5 yet?

If you did, which one did you go with?

I got the Corsair mp600 since it comes with a heat sink. Haven’t installed it though.

Do you know whether PS Plus is needed for us to share the games?
I'm the one getting my friend's games since he no longer plays so I can't ask him to pay for PS Plus just so I can get his games thus I need to know if the process itself is possible without the subscription (even if online play is not available)

I’m not 100% sure but I think if he purchased the games you’re good but anything he claimed for free via ps plus you won’t be able to

That microsoft activision deal does take away from Sony’s future in a big way, but that was them playing catch-up. Playstation already has upcoming IPs that people want to play, so those need to be executed to the best of their ability to stay afloat

It’s a sad era so far for us PS users. Gamepass is needed ASAP.

I wouldn’t say ass, i mean i literally don’t play any of those games except CoD, nor any of the new bethesda ones they past their prime but they do have some tight knit communities that stick with those IPs. But that’s about it to me

let’s not act like most of the games listed, their communities mainly exist on PC(diablo, starcraft, wow, overwatch) lmao that genre ain’t hurting Sony much

what they do with CoD can be scary but other than that ehhh

overwatch and Diablo are on Nintendo switch and PlayStation lol

Warcraft and StarCraft ain’t even on Xbox either though so it’s really irrelevant to the Sony vs Microsoft discussion
