If I own a game, say call of duty or fortnite on PS4. If I ever get a ps5, do I just transfer games over or do I have to go into ps store and specifically download ps5 version?

Is there anything I need to know if I eventually do get one?
Is the transfer games thing easy? Is it easier to just download them from the store separate? Do you have to download ps5 versions separate or will it auto upgrade?

i personally just individually downloaded games i wanted to play cause you automatically will have less space unless you only had a 500gb ps4
