They actually tweeted this 😂 meme or not they definitely feel some type of way
wtf
After all the shambles we had from 100 trailers it gets perfect reviews
I'm playing Nioh 2 and Gyuki is easily one of the worst 3 bosses across both games I have ever faced, and possibly no. 1.

This.
Link to the review score overall...

90/100 on PS5
84/100 on PC though
This feels very dishonest and cringy. No game is ever getting a perfect score across 5 of the biggest industry critics and this doesn't make me want to buy it more.

Weird post
How is it weird.
Maybe it’s just a good game. Outlets giving a game perfect reviews is not “dishonest and cringy”
It’s just how they feel about the game

Good yes, perfect no. Perfect suggests it cannot be improved in any capacity, which any credible reviewer should know a video game cannot be for as complex as a piece of media it is.
Don't tell me you've never heard of paid reviews before? Because it doesn't get more obvious than this.

Man it’s an Arkane game. They only make classics. Ain’t no paid review bullshit here

I don’t think 10/10 scores in video games essentially means its a perfect game though, no game is actually perfect lets be honest

I agree that no game is perfect, yet that is what 10/10 means. It is the pinnacle of scores. They could easily give it a 9.9 to a similar effect and get the point across that it is a near flawless experience, but a perfect score of anything should make anyone raise their eyebrows.

Does it seem more believable that a game is perfect or that a review was paid off, as is common in this industry and especially across those companies

I don’t think video game reviewers give their score based on the quality of the game but based on their experience/recommendation of the game. Hence why there are so many 10/10 games, if it was actually based on quality you probably wont see any game reach a 10/10 score because any game can arguably always be improved in some way. I think this goes for any form of media tbh

Possibly, but that should be clarified if they are reviewing it from an as objective as possible POV or from their very subjective POV because it can be interpreted in different ways. The reviews I watch will typically rate a game on its strengths and weaknesses versus other games with similar ideas, not on the strength of their recommendation.

These scores are completely in line with previous Arkane games though. Both Dishonored(s) were given pretty much the same exact scores.
Only outlier really was Prey (which was bullshit tbh, that game is incredibly underrated).
