they said it’s free. if you own the ps4 game it will be upgraded. they did this same thing with the ps4 pro... the PS5 is not gonna be a step backwards from the ps4 pro, idk why people think that way...
anyways they already announced you own the “PS5 version” if you buy it on ps4
really the only thing you’d miss out on is the case that says PS5 (if you even plan on buying physicals...)

I think they’ll announce that soon, but I assume they’ll upgrade as many ps4 titles as possible for free, that way the millions of ps4 owners will be much more tempted to purchase a PS5 immediately to experience those upgraded games.
where as typically someone might wait until 2021 or 2022 to purchase a PS5 when it has a larger library of its own.
I think it will be touted as a main feature along with the upgraded gpu and ssd

yeah it was one of the first features they announced in 2019 I believe
they’re also gonna optimize all the games for the ssd, so your whole library is blazing fast. fallout 4 load times have always bothered me so I hope fallout 4 is on the list of games they give PS5 updates to

yeah I’m curious how it will effect their PlayStation now experience because you can actually download some of the PSnow library instead of streaming
might have to cop the service if all of the titles will be updated for PS5
