beats are boring as s*** on majority of the album so really doubt the beats carrying him this time around

Idk what it is exactly, but the album just feels like a chore to get through.

There would be an energetic song swimming in an ocean of drawn out slow songs and it just takes the life out of the listen. Everything just churns out into one giant smog of sound.

By the time I hit Slip, I just cut it off for the day and finished a few minutes ago. The production is very polished yet does absolutely nothing for me, even when someone as promising with a voice as Faygo is talking over them.

i meant the other way around lol. These beats have cool drum patterns but they lack character especially when all the melodies are either mixed out of the forefront or are just some weird ambient layer of synths that lack character

also the drums themselves are pretty boring. i think its just of how polished the mix is and the fact that sound choice is really uniform across the project

i do really like a lot of the project but it feels like faygo is kinda by himself in this massive monotone space and it kinda sucks

He changed Takeoff to Took Off to avoid confusion that it has nothing to do with Takeoff ig

It honestly kinda makes me mad

I tried to listen to this but its awful, just feels so lifeless, had to quit midway through because were not even enjoyable, they just felt draining and dry and generic

For the guy to have taken as long as he did to release this, I don't know what the hell he was doing in the studio that whole time

Personally i enjoy the album a lot but I can understand why longtime fans would not enjoy it, I feel like he basically is trying to move toward a more mainstream friendly sound that's less abrasive and left leaning. I think he does great on these type of beats but i also agree he could have put some more uptempo / exciting songs on here
