Y'all might hate on me because I like Self-Titled more but

you're not the only one. it wasn't till i joined KTT when i found out how much people LOVE his self-titled, even more so than his renowned works

it's notable for the debut of Computer Blue, Electric Intercourse, I Would Die 4 U, Baby I'm a Star, and Purple Rain. Segements of that recording of Purple Rain actually show up on the final version of the song

that's crazy Dirty Mind has to be in my top 4, can't be made at it though. Controversy is the first proper "Prince" sounding album

I guess this one still doesn‘t click with me after years of trying again and again. I’m not really into the production like that - sounds a lil dated not in a good way tho. Sure, there are still incredible songs on this album because it‘s a Prince album but I think he has other albums that are more consistent and it doesn‘t help that many songs are so long. I know that this is one of Prince‘s most praised albums and I respect it for what it is. Little Red Corvette and International Lover are one of his best songs tho

DAMN. Spinned Dirty Mind and 1999 like crazy tonight. Definitely changed my mind with those ratings. I’m still not crazy over 1999 like most people are but hey
