Do Yourself a Favor has an interesting history in the P cannon

Prince was first involved with the track when he was with 94 East, where he played guitar on all of the band’s tracks

Then P re-recorded the song in 1982 during the 1999 sessions:

And it seems like P’s version is the basis for former Time guitarist Jesse Johnson’s take of the track, which was incidentally on an album called ‘Shockadelica’. Prince thought it was such a good title that he made the infamous Camille track based on it

one of the few prince songs that got reworked numerous times, only other songs I can think of like that are computer blue, crystal ball, moonbeam levels (intended for like 4 albums)
