not US-politics related inherently, but it sure is interesting how "islamic terrorism" discourse is suddenly revived out of nowhere every few years when people start focusing too much openly on economics or currently ruling parties....
You mean it only becomes a topic of discourse when a Western country is affected.

Yes, that is actually what I mean but i was talking about the suspicious timing of the discourse's revival always being around western elections
Biden struggling with black/latino votes in florida? Why dont they just get chelsea handler to remind them of their skin color and put them in their place?
how do they qualify a stolen election in this case? if the results aren't accepted? or if there's a recount like 2000 (should have been the biggest election scandal ever lol)?
Let's say Biden wins the popular vote by 5 million but loses anyway, there's documented evidence of mail in votes being thrown in the trash (we're already seeing this), state legislatures and SCOTUS getting involved in shutting down the tabulation of votes, etc. then you'll see substantial labor strikes that will bring the country to a stand still.

I really can’t get over that if Trump carries all of his states from 2016 except for Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin, we’ll have a tie
Trump would lose the popular vote, fail to reach 270 EC votes and tie with Biden, but still become president when it goes to the house. The civil unrest would be brazy
The Doomsday Scenario
trump gone win quote me when ur all in shambles
or quote me when biden wins and we're all in shambles anyway

even if trump somehow manages to win legitimately i don't really think large swathes of people (and likely some entire states) will accept the result if we're being honest. this isn't to downplay what you're talking about, I just have a feeling it's a likely outcome given the amount of tension built up over the last 4 years

It's gotta hit the economy to really make a difference...bloodshed is one consequence but it can't just be about street level individual efforts because then it can be pinned on ideology, party, etc. In reality, a stolen election would mean the end of our democracy as we know it and a response to that would have to be organized in a manner that impacts those on both sides of the aisle.
Hopefully, it doesn't come to that.

I just want to note that Gore vs Bush was already a stolen election in 2000. The difference is the rhetoric vs Trump specifically rather than the rhetoric at the time which existed against the Bush family dynasty (which is surprising retrospectively). That was more the point I was making; unlike 2000 where there was legitimately a stolen election more or less and nothing happened, even in the case of a legitimate Trump victory I can't imagine people would accept it even at the civil level that they accepted an actual stolen election back in 2000. Note that I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing, it's just an observation.

We've reached a point where the waters have been so thoroughly muddied that I'm not sure what a "legitimate" Trump victory would look like. This is his own fault for poisoning the well months ago with claims that mail in voting was inherently corrupt, as well as efforts of state courts to undermine the voting process that will continue in the coming weeks. No matter what, neither side is going to be happy, and not even a landslide Biden win will put out the fires entirely, only some of them.

yeah that's more or less what i'm getting at, that the rhetoric surrounding the election juxtaposed next to the tension of the last 4 years is certainly not looking good
FL D-R early voting gap at 137k for dems
Republicans will vote on election day
