Very unlikely. GOP picks up WI & AK obviously, and Dems are likely to pick up AZ. This means the race would come down to NV and the GA runoff - my bets would be NV to GOP, GA to Dems which would basically keep the senate 50/50

Again it's a big if, like miracle type s*** lmao

Likely going to be 50/50 in the end

    cold mountain

there was a bunch of republicans running as kinda like "abortion candidates"

In PA they all lost but I wonder how that looks on the national lvl..

It was actually a really good night for moderate Republicans who didn’t actively appear to be total clowns. MAGA had a rough go of it.

We’re not in 2016 or 2020 anymore. 2024 is going to be really interesting.

50/50 senate and GOP house is a borderline win for Republicans (still an underperformance tho) but spells massive trouble for the party’s structure. Likely to see huge internal drama prior to 24.

Every single anti-abortion legislation on the ballot last night got shot tf down

The Roe v Wade overreach was awful but clearly it did prevent a red wave and galvanized the youth vote

I saw a lot of youth voting in Florida. Idk what happened

Seems like the Dems strategy of boosting far-right candidates worked

    Did they actually do this?

Republicans are boned in 2024 if they continue their weirdo attacks on trans people and the electoral process, and last night showed it

Yeah it’s not a conspiracy it’s been widely talked about

Yeah it was smart as hell, gen-z actually showed up and will continue to do so if the focus on the crazy Q/MAGA wave nutcases continues, show the worst and people will mobilize against them

I would kinda argue the opposite. What boned the GOP was focusing on abortion, election fraud, and trump. As you saw in the VA elections (Youngkin) quite awhile ago, when they distance themselves from Trump, say nothing about him or abortion, and focus on trans issues & CRT, they’re quite popular

Hate that type of s*** tbh. I know they did that in 2016 with Trump which backfired on them. Boosting the worst choice in hopes of having less competition seems to go against the whole democracy thing.

A side effect of a two-party system where you have to campaign against your opponent more than campaign for yourself
