Right, which is why it’s surprising to me that there’s been such a Republican turnout already in a state that polls have as being so competitive. Republicans historically trail in early voting but make up a lot of ground on Election Day, and polling suggests it will be an even bigger difference this time around due to the politicization of covid. So for republicans to actually be leading in early voting in states like Wisconsin and Michigan is strange.

But, yeah, looking for trends where they may not actually be isn’t a great idea generally. Just think it’s interesting.
