Each device has a different set of things it can encode. If device doesnt support it has to transcode and requires work.
What tv app you using?

Tried other devices and they work fine, so just this one ig. For subtitles atleast. For the quality I get a message at the start that the connection is not direct or some s*** like that so I got to fix something in the home network

What is Plex

To keep it simple, Plex gives you one place to find and access all the media that matters to you. From personal media on your own server, to Movies, TV Shows, and News, to streaming music, you can enjoy it all in one app, on any device.
How do i set up Plex on my device
If you are looking to set up your own personal media server to house your own stuff, there are a few (simple!) steps to get up and running.
How it works:
1. Install and run the Plex Media Server on a computer (or compatible NAS device or NVIDIA SHIELD) where all your media is stored and managed in movie, TV show, home video, music, and photo libraries.
2. Add media libraries by type of content and let Plex do the rest—cataloging, adding artwork and info—it’s all automatic.
3.Install and open the Plex app on virtually any device—smartphone, tablet, smart TV, streaming device, game console, personal computer, or any browser.
4. Wherever you are, press play, sit back, and enjoy your media as it streams from the Plex Media Server to your device.
What Plex Looks Like When Set Up
Now i believe i have a beefy Plex server so ill show you screenshots of my server as of October 2019

My issue with my guy is that a lot of the movies and shows are in terrible quality (720p and 480p usually). And I’m paying a lot! Looking into Stremio
I want consistent access to 1080p - 4k movies and tv. My options right now seem like paying for streaming services, downloading my own content manually, or looking into this real debrid s***

I got an Emby server with every single show / movie in 1080p / 4k with remux’s.
Paid for but very affordable
$7 a month / 20 quarterly for 1080p
$9 a month / 25 quarterly for 4k (web dl’s mostly sourced from online rips)
$5 a month add on for remux’s
Can invite anyone here really. Very reliable and I recommend it
Shows / movies get added asap as soon as available: and there’s a discord for automated requests if somehow it’s not on there.
Apple TV + infuse with it and everything works flawlessly
If you want ease of use and everything at your fingertips. I can help
