tempted to get a used 3060 for $260
12GB of RAM would be an upgrade over my 10GB 3080 for Stable Diffusion and Google Dreambooth

bigger than a series s too lol
it's comically large
looks like a meme
the crazy thing is that's the founders so it's one of the smallest 4090
nvidia might have pushed things too far this time

yeah i don't think it'd even fit in my atx case. the power requirements as well
not gonna jump on an upgrade for this gen anytime soon anyhow. the dlss 3 tech looks really f***ing cool though.

yeah I'm happy with my mini ITX build with 700watt PSU & a 3080
I'll upgrade my gaming PC next time Nvidia decides to make a normal sized GPU
I live in hot climate my 3080 already heats up my room too much, yeah the power usage on the overclocked models push 700watts then you have spikes.. imagine using one of these with one of these new overclocked 250 watt Intel CPUs
using a 4090 is the same thing as cranking on a space heater just to use your GPU
I remember from like 2008-2013 AMD, Nvidia & Intel were pushing power usage up and up in a race with each other to make the loudest hottest fastest thing possible then everyone started to fight to have the most efficient product even if it meant the product wasn't quiet as fast
we have definitely entered another era of this, in some ways it's nice cause we had 8 years with no competition just Intel & Nvidia running s*** but these last two generations of Nvidia GPUs are really on another level that we have never seen before

maybe no 4090ti
i think mlid just makes up half his leaks tho so who knows
Yea this s*** crazy
I've got myself an Alienware in the works, well, I've got the frame. What do I need to do next to play Skyrim?
at 4k it makes the 3090ti look 2-3 gens behind
i mean if you compare it to the last 2 generations yeah, those generations were pretty under whelming though if you look at past generations
gtx 980 to 1080ti was a way bigger jump than this with less power usage also
yeah at 4k it's a beast though, the biggest upgrade we've had in like 5 years
also last gen was on samsungs s***ty 8nm going to tsmc 4n is a big upgrade

yeah idk what the f*** kind of voodoo nvidia pulled off with pascal but that gen was insane too with the leap from maxwell, whilst being a really similar architecture too

back before Moore's law died
but yeah it really was a crazy gen to gen upgrade Nvidia's biggest last decade I think
