First 4K monitor that is over 144 Hz... Yes only 16 Hz more so far but this is good to see.
Now... When are those 8K monitors coming out? Besides the old Dell one? Acer, ASUS and LG... Give it to us. And if possible let it be in 2021 please
Probably like $1000 too, huh?

At least lmao... More like $2000 or more.
Btw I think I'll wait for the i7 or i9 12900K. But this sounds very good though...
f*** Nvidia

f*** Nvidia
Don't particularly like his solution either. Seems either way if you don't have bots and your goal isn't crypto mining you're getting screwed. Maybe Nvidia can make it so in the future the crypto specific cards can be used regularly via an update of some kind or something.
Officially finished with my build finally.
Monitor is coming in on Friday (was supposed to be today but Amazon delivered some random chair to me instead lol)
This was premature, I sent back the cpu, motherboard, and case so... yea now it's complete.
New Build:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950x
Motherboard:Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 Aorus Master (I also had the ROG Strix 3090 but it had coil whine and was very loud so I returned it) - Plan on in the future changing this GPU, need more voltage this only has a 2 x 8 Pin.
Same Memory & Storage -> Eventually will update/change both cause I like Corsair products so will probably get the upgrades form there.
Got a Fractal Meshify 2 for my case. Might change this depending on how good the Lian Li O11 Evo is.
Added 3 140mm Noctua Chromax Fans they're so silent and will last a good amount of time.
And for AIO got the Corsair H150i Elite Capellix -> Plan on doing an open loop eventually but that s*** expensive.
And a pic of my baby:

yeah there just normal video cards that would work for gaming but Nvidia won’t add a Displayport
sucks they can’t just throw one port on but that could hurt future sales lol
I hear Nvidia sells cards to miners directly anyways, the 3080 is the second best mining card on the market and it seems like retailers get the least of those i think Nvidia and there patterns sell them
this just seems like a PR play by Nvidia

dang i thought it wouldve for sure been better than the 9900k/10700k. i wanna switch to an itx case but no cpu really worth upgrading to rn from a 9900k to warrant a change of motherboard and psu.

yeah pretty minor upgrade again
I had the opportunity to get a 6800xt yesterday but I didn't cave because of the 6900xt
I want the funny number!!
I did get a 5900X today tho
swapped out my motherboard and cpu cause i got a 10900k, holy s*** the fan installation was such a pain in the ass, my f***ing finger hurts from taking off those little clamps that hold the fan to the radiator several times
where does one even find a GPU nowadays
honestly unless your current GPU is broken I'd keep using it
if you're building a new PC just use the old one, even stuff new on Newegg is twice the price of what it should be when it's in stock which is never
these GPU prices shouldn't last for more than 12 months at the most
Ethereum mining is half the reason prices are so high, I bet stuff will stay overpriced but used cards should be flooding eBay and Craigslist at some point and then drive prices down
I remember RX 580s selling for $900 in 2017 and by the end of 2018 they were $120 lol

that's crazy, I guess I'll just wait it out.
the build I've been using to do my 3D work only has an APU so it's barely getting by
I was looking at the GeForce RTX 2060 Super for like $1k but if prices are all jacked up I'll just wait a couple months, thanks for the advice bro

no problem bro
yeah that's insane lol the 2060 super was $400 last year at some points, the 3060ti would be a good buy if they ever come back in stock for a normal price
yeah that APU definitely isn't good for gaming though lol I can see why you wanna upgrade, you can follow Discord notifications for when stuff is in stock, they sell out fast tho but the prices from official sources are a lot better than resellers even if they are overpriced rn

Stock is going to get worst. Manufacturers are about to raise prices again, too cause of how low stock is.
At this point you gotta get lucky. Last year even though it was still hard it was so much easier to get a 3070 or 3090. Now they’re all nearly impossible.

I’m down horrendously
