yeah there have been reports about it for a couple months now
code name Hopper
https://www.techradar.com/news/nvidias-reportedly-readying-5nm-graphics-cards-for-2021-in-an-effort-to-crush-amd
I think Hopper & RDNA3 will be 40-60% better than the current top Cards coming out
TSMC 5nm is suppose to be super dense and have incredible performance
Sounds good and bad at the same time depending on when in 2021 it's out... As I want to build a PC in not so many months from now. But this sounds still very exciting to me
rumored price $300-$400
i paid 800 for my 2080 super earlier this year
dam

yeah that's the only bad news about things starting to accelerate with big leaps every year again, there's always something better around the corner
hopefully it's sooner rather than later but I bet it could be around August to beat AMDs release again

yeah it's crazy how GPU prices didn't drop for 3 years and now they're coming down
in the next 4 months the mid range cards should drop in price once all these cards come in stock
should make the price on eBay for used cards come down fast also
i was this CLOSE to getting the 3070 when it dropped. then i got an error saying
BEST BUY DOESNT SHIP IN YO PLACE.

I had the exact same thing happen when I tried to buy a 3080 on launch
Best Buy bugged as f***

August? Welp... We'll see. If my PC build is delayed until May-June 2021 so will I wait these 2 extra months then
But it better be worth it or if I do upgrade my 30 series GPU so do I hope that the motherboard that I'll be getting will be compatible with the 40 series GPU's.

as long as you get a Intel Rocket Lake-S CPU or AMD Zen 2/3 CPU with a Motherboard that supports PCIE4 it will fully support the coming GPUs
By March Rocket Lake-S is going to be out if you wanna build Intel I'd wait for that
and yeah I haven't heard anything though besides last half of 2021 so that's just a guess
and yeah I was debating myself waiting longer to build my system
Y’all recommend any prebuilts? Looking to beef up but idk if I wanna build this time.

March 2021... Okay that's not a lot of waiting time but still sounds like a lot to me. But I think it'll be a better idea for me to wait until then to build my PC
And then later on get another GPU or even build another PC by then as I'll save up for my next PC in late 2021 or early 2022 and then get it around 2024-2026.

nah
they're typically not that bad anymore as far as some parts go (GPU, CPU etc.) but they consistently cheap out on things like the PSU and RAM which you do NOT want to do.
i remember once i had a gateway prebuild, put a GTX 970 in it and it left burn marks on the 550w PSU. never looked back after that.
wanna get this is it worth getting? or is there better out there basically i need a keyboard to adjust my music on but dont mind getting a lighted up one to

I got my eye on that maingear turbo

this keyboard doesn't even have switches listed
skip 100%
idk anything around that price but anything under like $100 is gonna be bad

its ok i just want it for music control on the keyboard which it has and it lights up plus my keyboard is messed lol and i dont play crazy games just cs lfd so i bought it anyway its good for me
Made the jump to OpenCore & went with Big Sur. S***'s atrocious.
that’s a bummer, I hate that Apple won’t make a Desktop computer

yeah definitely will be worth the wait if your gonna upgrade the GPU down the line, right now games don’t benefit much from PCIE4 but some next gen games will
I normally upgrade to a new system like every 4-5 years but I will upgrade my GPU every year, sometimes more lol

I'll upgrade depending on if it's needed or not... And if not then so don't I mind waiting until something worth it is out. But if I do see something that I do like and it makes sense to get it and upgrade my PC so will I do it or wait until something better is out.

yeah that makes sense, buying an upgrade when you actually feel you need one for better performance
that’s the main reason I never got a RTX 20 Series they weren’t that much better than what I had for a lot more money
I always run Monitor setups that push GPUs to the limit so I always feel like I need something faster, I used a 3 monitor setup for years
if I ever had a GPU that ran most my games at 4k120hz high settings I wouldn’t upgrade

do you shuck these?
these high capacity drives seem so slow though, i try to avoid smr drives

Yeah I shuck them, though it's been a while since I bought any drives. Still have like 20TB free.

True.
One thing that will annoy me a lot is if in 2021 so will it still be hard to find a new GPU whether it's what currently is out or what is coming in mid-late 2021. This kind of stuff can make you delay the WHOLE build just for this one thing which is the GPU as the GPU is one of the most important parts of the PC and I've never experienced it been this hard to find one man :/
