yeah exactly Samsung has been selling those drives to Apple & Data centers for a while but yeah they're all like 5-6GB/s, the PS5 is at 9GB/s

I hear Lexar is putting out a 7GB/s model very soon at least, not like the high bandwidth even makes a huge difference right now in games but I hear that Devs can make games that take better advantage of them

and definitely once those drives come out + one of these new high end GPUs you'll have the ultimate next gen Gaming PC

yeah I've heard $1299-$1399 for the RTX 3090, guess we'll know soon enough and yeah I think AIB OC models will come soon by the time AMD is putting out the info about their GPU in early October

I wonder if PCIe 4 not being supported by Intel CPUs will make a noticable difference with the 3090. The 5700XT had no difference but it was pushing way less bandwidth.

Yeah it took them awhile to make them available for non-professional use but it's there finally. But the annoying thing is that it's widely supported as only AMD does support PCIE 4.0. The 9 GB's is the write speed actually! 5.5 GB's is the read speed which is what people usually look for. But yes it's actually very good for something as mainstream/user-friendly that the PS5 should be... Though it might still be too technical for some people lol.

Though the way the PS5 architect (Mark Cerny) did word it so does it sound like the PS5 and/or PS5 Pro supports speeds that reach 7 GB's/s of read speed and probably something over 9 GB's/s in terms of write speeds. I would imagine something between 11-12 GB's/s. And then possibly something better for the PS5 Pro which should be out in 2023 or 2024. And its R&D should have already started or will start in October or November 2020 just like they did with the PS4 Pro.

Yeah with its specs so don't I imagine the RTX 3090 been cheap... And especially the OC version of it. Also it sounds like they might finally make it gaming-friendly or well a gamer GPU as well... Which I do welcome! This should be the one to get if you want the ultimate graphical performance and RayTracing in a game, video (Content creation), watching 4K/8K videos with HDR-10 etc. and other stuff which requires a very good GPU. But yeah believe it or not... The OC version of it is the one that I am looking forward to the most!

Oh that's good to know it's 5.5Gb/s read

Yeah it really should be a next level Ray Tracing & Gaming GPU, so it will at least be a lil more justifiable than the 2080tis price at least

Have you seen those pics of it next to the 2080 that leaked? It's so huge
Looks like a monster it's probably pretty inefficient though lol it's probably a 350 watt space heater with the size of that heatsink

I guess the rumors about them using Samsung instead of TSMC must be true with the size of that thing

With this kind of price and size so am I expecting it to actually be better than both the 1080 Ti and 2080 Ti... This thing is looking very huge and powerful. But yes I did... Now I need to see how all of them do look next to a RTX 2080 Ti

Yeah it sounds like they went with Samsung... But I'll wait and see if that indeed happened first. We're close to that reveal though hopefully... So whatever they went with, decided to add etc. should all be revealed soon and be worth it hopefully!

yeah exactly not too much point in speculating much longer

and yeah I can't imagine anything else out being even near the RTX 3090 until AMD puts out Big Navi

the 1080ti was a pretty next level update at the time but the 2080ti was definitely a step down when comparing it to the increase from the 980ti to the 1080ti

Yeah nothing over 7-8 days is left now hopefully!

Yeah I remember the jump from the GTX 980 Ti to the 1080 Ti been bigger and the hype around it been bigger as well. But with the the release of the RTX 2080 Ti so was the only hype thing the RayTracing itself which was later on revealed that the GTX 1080 Ti could to a certain degree do some of it at least which took some of the RTX 2080 Ti's value. But the RTX 3090 should be the GPU to get if you're still on the GTX 1080 Ti or something like the RTX 2060/2060 Super compared to getting a RTX 2080 Ti now... And even if it'll be cheaper because the upcoming GPU's release.

Also man I just looked at that RTX 3090 compared to the RTX 2080/2080Ti and man this thing looks very beastly... Man forget about the RTX 3080 Ti... The RTX 3090 is the one to get. Now... ASUS etc. show us what changes you made to it as their version for example is sometimes better than the OG one... It's more stylish, efficient and can do more aka it's OC'ed! This thing will be worth it and will help me do and achieve many things that isn't just gaming related

yup the biggest thing about the 20 series cards was the Ray Tracing which I felt was kinda a let down with how badly they performed at it and how little games have it

obviously it was a first generation piece of tech though, so these things are too be expected.. 8 days now

and yeah the 3090 will be the card to get probably

if these rumors about performance are true we should see a huge price drop on the used market.. if the 3070 is trading blows with the 2080ti or within 10% that means that the 2080ti will probably be under $600 used by Christmas time
it's been a long time since we had a shift like this, probably yeah the GTX 10 series, it's exciting

I'm still rocking an OCed Vega 56 what GPU are you upgrading from?

Yes the RTX part of the 30 series besides the other new things should be done right this time so am I really excited for the 30 series GPU's. Also I am looking forward to the what the Intel CPU's will be able to do in 2021 and as well as how the 2021 motherboards will be like as the 2020 ones doesn't fully support the RTX 3090 and that should be fixed in 2021 hopefully.

Ahh well you see I'm not a PC gamer YET... But what I've tried out before is a GTX 1060 with 3 GB's of VRAM so the jump should be VERY huge to me. I'll custom build my PC when I've the money and time for it and share it here for sure

    it definitely may

I think short term Nvidia could be a good buy, long term though I think they're a bad buy unless they buy ARM from softbank or start making more ARM chips

Yeah I've heard Intel chips they're putting out next year will fully support PCIe 4 and I guess people inside Intel are saying it was a huge mistake to not include it with this current refresh.

And oo nice nice yeah that's a pretty big upgrade.. Yeah def excited to see what you get when you do build it, I just started getting the parts in for my build. I'm getting the case & rtx 3090 last since they're two things that aren't out yet, I have everything else coming today tho

So apparently so is the performance increase 35 %... But I'll wait and see what this is compared to... Like 20 to 30 series or RTX 3080 Ti to RTX 3090 maybe? Anyway this sounds good to me. Also the FE of the 30 series GPU's is out September 21st 2020 and the AIB versions of it is out September 28th 2020... Which isn't at the same time but it's just a 1 week difference so it's okay

Oh believe me the excitement will be through the roof because I'm both a gamer, tech guy and hopefully in the near future a content creator and some more things in the future hopefully. But yes a VERY big including other big jumps related to the CPU performance, SSD to NVME M.2 SSD performance and other stuff. But all of that will have to wait until it's the right time and place to do it as I'm putting my health (Mental, physical etc.) first and then so will I get into this and the other things on my gaming, tech, entertainment wish-list

that's not all bad a week later for AIB models, in the past its been a month + still trying to decide on an AIB or Founders will depend on price difference and RAM

and yeah I've heard 35% up to 50% better than the 2080ti guess we'll know soon enough tho yeah

and yeah true true you definitely need to have the time and stuff for a new gaming pc

50 % maybe? Oh man this got even better for me now then.

Yep a new PC is always like a new start, quality of life stuff, it been faster/more powerful etc. and been able to do things that weren't possible before. But it's not cheap... But worth it. Plus it must not be forced, make sense and done at the right time. I don't want to rush this and feel like it must be done at the right time and when all of the parts I want are available and I'm ready to use that PC for the purpose that I did build it for. Plus I gotta get other stuff too that isn't out yet like a new ElGato capture card that hopefully can do 8K @ 60 Hz (FPS), HDR-10/10+, a sound card maybe and what else I feel like is necessary to get
