my homie that runs COD/arpgs runs from a windows nvme ssd drive with a dongle that attaches it to a usb on the front of the case lol
I moved the motherboard, CPU, and SSD all together from old case into new case and installed a CPU contact frame and switched out RAM about 2 weeks ago now… and I just haven’t touched it since because I’m dreading the installation of the new AIO and fans and PSU and then connecting all the cables and doing cable management, anyone wanna come do this s*** for me, I’m sick of seeing the back of my open, naked PC every day when I open the door getting home smh
This building s*** is awful as a first timer with OCD who has to overthink every step then psych themselves out of doing it entirely because they’re scared of messing up (hell, I accidentally had the previous AIO pump fall a good foot or so right onto the corner of the motherboard so I still don’t even know if this s*** gunna even work once I DO put it together and hit the power button lmao) I’m enjoying it as a learning experience but f*** this first time is stressful
lowkey regret my build i had a ryzen 5800x put inside a NZXT H1 and it gets loud as f*** man lmao
Can anyone answer this question, google doesn’t seem to fully know - I wanna get the Logitech G502 wired mouse but I wanna know can I increase the DPI with the buttons on the mouse without ever downloading G Hub? Like is there at least a default loaded profile on it out the box? Trying to avoid additional software..
bout to finesse Amazon , sell my Gigabyte Rx6800 and get a Sapphire Rx 7900Gre
Too much motion
Man I wanna build a gaming rig so damn badly but I have absolutely no knowledge on wtf to do and zero clue how to build a rig. I got a budget of $1500-$1700. Part of me just wants to bite the bullet and cop a prebuilt but everyone swears that’s a horrible idea.

Yeah do it yourself my guy plus it's cheaper and you do get to pick the parts you want and need.
And don't worry about the knowledge thing as everyone has to start somewhere you know? I would recommend you to use the website called PCPartPicker and then watch some YouTube videos about it and pick the one you do the find to be the most helpful of them all

Honestly? S***'s just adult lego. Really easy to build
crazy deals on AliExpress on AM4 & even some AM5 stuff

I'd honestly just get RAM, SSDs etc from a local seller but the CPUs could be worth the risk, most CPU failures happen in the first couple days of use

pre-builts are fine you're paying a premium normally but they do test it usually before shipping so you have that peace of mind
but honestly if you're patient and never try to force something that isn't fitting/unattaching right, building your own isn't very hard and you probably won't have any issues especially if you watch a couple youtube videos before

Update. I built my own a few days ago and have joined the master race.

awesome
what parts did you end up going with
Here’s my part list. Feel like I skimped out a bit on the case ngl but it’s honestly not that bad. Very happy with my build, runs pretty much everything I’ve tried at 120+ FPS on highest settings and 1440p.

sweet build
defintely should play 120+ at 1440 for a while! when games need a better CPU/GPU in years the stuff better than what you got will be obsolete anyways
a lot of people that are newer to building think a 7950X or 4090 would last longer but you're really just paying like double the price to have hardware that's only 20-30% faster
there are reasons to buy those high end products but games aren't one of them imo
new hardware comes out at least every 24 months that will make all the old stuff fall in price, so you're better off just waiting the way i see it
honestly the case is one of the best areas to spend less money if you're on a budget, better than getting an off brand motherboard or power supply to save money
AnandTech has announced that they have come to an end
Pour one out for the Tech OGs

Unfortunately tech journalism is dying fast
Won't be too long until media like Tom's Hardware and Ars Technica bites the dust since they're clearly deteriorating too
Yeah get a better GPU if possible... But it's still a decent one if you can't do it though
Came up so i cashed out on fans cause they make me happy and look nice esp with the Nollie fan hub
