don’t be scared fam! not everyone feels the way i do. maybe i didn’t love my passion as much as you, i slacked off and stopped working at it for years

we all have varying levels of drive/passion. and the ones who feel the hardest for it make it.

you sound like one of the one who will pull through and achieve it. if you have that much drive for it, you’re only way to go is up

but even so, i still have found something i at least somewhat enjoy doing as a job, and i’m hopefully on the path to achieve something i love doing. it’s not all bad!

It's not something I advertise or tell people, especially irl, but achieving what was then my life passion at 21/22 immediately transitioned into the deepest depression of my life where I very nearly killed myself. But like a phoenix I rose my from own mfin ashes and became a better person for it

I think it's important to try and cultivate a passion for life and no matter what happens move like water in and around the obstacles that inevitably come your way.

I wish I saved my money at home. I live on my own but I moved out without savings. I had to move out cause I hated my dad and the suburbs

Any of y'all fellow dusty mfers start a new hobby recently?

My bro and his wife been into rock climbing for a few years now and just recently got me into it. Going out tomorrow to spend the day climbing and I'm hyped about it. So nice to get out in nature. Just learned this Japanese term Shinrin-Yoku aka 'Forest Bathing'. There's something healing about being in nature and spending the day with the sun on your skin working hard and shooting the s*** with friends.

Lowkey think it may be because it's so good for our microbiome that subconsciously it makes us enjoy the time spent outside so we do it more. But that's just an ignorant hypothesis lol.

yeah that’s understandable for sure. sometimes you just gotta take the leap.

i definitely could have stayed home and saved money as well but i was depressed as s*** and living with friends seemed like it was a decent way to raise my mood and feel happier

too bad where i live the winters are brutal as s*** and the cold weather / lack of sun already started

i do want to find a new hobby though, i’m desperately lacking in that department. right now, all i do is work and sit on the couch during the week, and try to find something to do outside on the weekends

I started bowling last year in a social bowling league and it was dope. I suck but I have fun. I also go to estate sales and open houses now for fun and comedy shows

welcome! and i believe i read that some sociologists consider millennials up to like 98+ sometimes anyway, just the standard definition is usually up to 96 that’s why i used that one

the whole generation thing is probably full of grey areas too tbh!
