Metroid has no release date past 2025
Pokémon is end of year right
Duskbloods is next year
Some cool stuff but you can see why it’s going to be dry as it stands
Wonder how far away a 3D Mario will be
This year or else
Miyamoto going the way of Abe Shindo

that’s like 1 big release every month? So like $400 of games. That’s enough for me. plus indies on top of that, and maybe some good ports, and GameCube games coming to nso
Duskbloods is next year but this year is half over already, so it’s probably within the first year of release essentially. (June 2025-2026 I mean).

Yeah, that’s true to be fair
I’m looking forward to seeing what gets ported & the GameCube library is a huge addition

Eternal Darkness revisit incoming
Trying to think what would be the ideal port
I like the sound of RDR 2
I think a game like Robocop would work well on Switch
A new mario kart and 3d donkey kong at launch and you're calling It mid, not cool op of the Nintendo thread, not cool...
I know I have failed you, my son. My fanboy tank is running low so I am not my usual self.
Personally I’ve never cared for Donkey Kong but I’m happy for y’all of course. Mario Kart is a classic franchise and Mario Kart World looks great, but Mario Kart isn’t that unique of an experience that I feel like I need the system right away (even though there is a chance I still might get it at or near launch), unlike a new single player Zelda adventure which would make me drop kick an old lady and sell a kidney just to see a 30 second teaser. Metroid Prime 4 caught my attention but strangely no release date yet.

Astral Chain 2... make it happen... please
kamiya left that s*** never getting greenlighted.
Yeah, but what’s past that
New 3d mario, new 3d zelda, metroid prime 4, new pokemon hopefully eternal darkness gamecube vc
my Target pre-order says it’ll be delivered June 11 😭😭😭
Mine from the Nintendo Store just says “preparing to ship”
I chose the free 2-9 day shipping, I wonder if they will ship it ahead of time to arrive on June 5th or if they ship it ON June 5th and I get it in 2-9 days
Yeah, but what’s past that
Nintendo only announced what’s coming at launch and a month or two beyond that to focus on the launch of a new console. Any more and it would be too far into the future IMO
Once launch day happens and the dust settles, I’m positive we’ll get a Direct letting us know what’s going on the res rod the year and maybe one or two things for 2026
Also remember, a mainline 3D Mario always releases less than a year after a console launches. So June 2026 is the LATEST the game will come out
So we will know it exists soon enough
What benefits do I have for not selling my Switch first? Should I keep it to transfer it to Switch 2 smoothly?

Switch 2 won't have native backwards compatibility so some games will be incompatible

True, not a deal breaker, I'll just sell the games that don't work. What I meant was is there any reason to not sell my Switch before buying a Switch 2 in terms of transferring everything

I can’t think of anything in particular besides some (mostly irrelevant) Switch 1 games being incompatible with Switch 2. I sold my Switch 1 recently and I’m not looking back.
