Paper Mario 2 remake to end the month of May and then a new Nintendo Direct & Xbox Games Showcase in June (plus SMTV Vengeance releasing on the 14th).. We feastin’
When do you think Switch 2 will be revealed though?
If you like super mario world I recommend checking out Braid, it just got remastered and it’s like $17 on the eshop rn
edit: very short game though, got all puzzle pieces in like 5 hours, also apparently it’s free for netflix subscribers on iOS and android should’ve just gotten it that way tbh

I think the Switch 2 will be revealed innnnnnn September, October or January. What about you?

I predict the S2 reveal will take place in mid-January; I’m basing this prediction on Nintendo’s hardware sales projection of 13.5 million Switch 1 units sold before April 2025.
If they want to achieve this ambitious goal during what is very likely Switch’s final year before S2 then it might be too risky to reveal the successor right before the holidays cus it will surely affect sales.
(Personally, of course I want the reveal to happen asap, but I’m tryna look at the current situation more realistically
)
Mid-January reveal and a June launch (Nintendo has launched brand-new platforms in June before.)
Btw just curious, what’s your relationship with the Paper Mario series like? You copping the new remake by any chance?
Wait paper Mario drops tonight?
thought it was Thursday night for some reason
Nintendo games releasing on Thursdays will take some getting used to lol

That sounds like a good prediction! We shall see what unfolds.
Personally I have only played the original Paper Mario game on Nintendo 64 and I loved it. Really charming, fun and clever RPG. I do not think I will be copping TTYD since I'm kind of done with the original Switch and have already gotten most of my favourite titles since the Switch release in 2017. Unless they surprise me with some unannounced Zelda game or something I don't know how much more they can give me at this point.

Personally this gets me excited
Shows Nintendo wants Switch 2 to be stacked with a bunch of 3rd party games / extra ports and wants to step their game up
Here’s the run down
BotW was used as a Switch 2 demo at Gamescom last year where they showcased 4K60fps and fast loading.
Papagenos came out a few days ago with this tweet. Every capital letter when put together spells out: This is a hint.
https://twitter.com/GenosPapa/status/1788966540605370802It’s already been well documented that BotW’s codename internally is U-King
Users on Famiboards a few days ago figured out Switch 2's internal codename is “Oz”
Persona leaker Midori who’s highly credible tweeted this a couple days ago:
https://twitter.com/MbKKssTBhz5/status/1789529338230059427Super Mario 3D World’s internal codename was SM3DW-S so this has been done before.
U-King-O = BOTW Switch 2 version
TTYD confirmed to have a Switch 2 version, or at least will receive a Switch 2 update.
Dataminers found that there’s code to trigger 4K resolution. Game is also named Gogo-S. They only add ‘S’ at the end when they’re using the same codename of a game but ported to Switch. Here’s the kicker: TTYD is a full blown remake and isn’t a port. They’d only do this if there’s another version planned. Likely they’ve got ‘Gogo-O’ for Switch 2.

Hopefully this shows that Sw2 will be powerful enough to run those 3rd party heavy-hitters that were really missing from Switch

https://twitter.com/stealth40k/status/1792708779416666478This, coupled with what MS said about future COD titles and Square's future plans (and Midori's tweets about atlus + sega and kingdom hearts 4) really make me think switch 2 will have every multiplat day 1 or only few months later, and since we're looking at a device around as powerful as a ps4 pro, i think we'll get similar graphical fidelity too. Cant wait!!!

You think Switch 2 will be able to handle KH4?
It may be a cloud version again while the old KH games will get native ports.

60fps RDR2 (PS5/Xbox) or portable RDR2 (NS2)???
Seems like an obvious choice to me

I think so, yeah. Its got 12gbs of ram, of which id wager 10 are reserved for games, more than the series s for example, the technology is more modern than the og ps4's so despite being in that ballpark It should be easier to work for, and there's DLSS which is very easy to implement provided the engine supports it. Im not expecting to run like ps5 version, but im sure itll impress for the hardware its going to be in.
And Square needs their games on Nintendo systems if they want to be successful, so they'll do whatever they can
