this was a rumour though the same as the Forbes rumours no?
Its a report by bloomberg, its much more than a rumor
go look at when Nintendo's FY ends
muahahaha
Yeah i know it ends at the end of march, thats why i wasnt refuting your post

they also reported that we would officially know about the console by now

No, it was an assumption based on the fact that 3rd parties wanted to show their pro enhanced games on e3. I think that manufacturers who are assembling this thing are reliable and bloomber itself since its a reputable journal who speaks to investors is also reliable. They did get the switch lite and the light revision in 2019 right after all. And its corroborated by other sources that also cites nintendo ordering 7 inch screens. Add now furukawa's statements, its a FY release lock imo, too many trusted sources claiming it exists and it starting production soon
Furukawa not denying switch pro existence unlike last year and its also in development. Announcement soon
Switch Pro confirmed tonight
Has anyone played luigi’s mansion? If so should I cop
Or should I buy super mario 3D world
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is my 2nd favorite Switch game after Super Mario Odyssey
Absolutely love the franchise

LMFAOOOO they made a trailer just for qol changes
And still I'm like meh
Not convinced enough to play it again, but who knows, maybe I'm bored on July 16 and just buy it on a whim. I did play it on the Wii and liked the motion controls and puzzles/temples but the rest was a bit too limited/linear for me. Didn't really like how you were flying above Hyrule but you could only drop down into one of like 3 holes in the clouds and explore a small cut-off sections of the map. Wish they were interconnected.

That's alright, i love this game more than most people but i also wont be buying this cause i already own it. About the things you mentioned, imo it wasnt more linear than oot, mm and tp, they're just better at hiding it, and the interconnectivity wasnt possibile on that hardware unfortunately, those holes in the sky were basically loading screens between areas like there were in previous games between different areas in hyrule. With botw2 tho we're seeing the original skyward sword concept come to fruition with interconneceted overworld and a fully explorable sky with lots of islands and seamless transition between sky and earth. Honestly i understand why they chose to remaster skyward sword as its quite similar to what we saw of botw2
There's also more that they didnt show, some that we know already (free camera, auto saving) so im sure it will be a better experience than it was 10 years ago

I hear ya. Linear might have been the wrong word on my part, I think a better word would be "closed off" or "disconnected" in terms of the map/world. In OoT, we could run around Hyrule Field and from there go to certain villages/towns that all felt connected to Hyrule Field even if those places had to 'load-in' when you entered them. Same in MM with Termina Field, but in SS we're flying above clouds that are covering all of Hyrule, except for 3 small holes in the clouds where you can drop down into one closed off section of the map and explore it. I think OoT, MM, WW and TP all gave a better sense of the map interconnectivity than SS did.

Yeah, the sky and the surface felt like two different overworlds, and it didnt help that the sky only had a handful of cool islands
LMFAOOOO they made a trailer just for qol changes
Cause they know they s*** the bed last time

Yeah Majora was only a little less linear but SS felt like more of a constricting Metroid game, progression and puzzle wise iirc

ur right abt this
i think the reason it feels 'linear' at least to me is cause i rarely felt the game let go of my hand. i think it overtutorialises the player at the start and throughout with constant little cutscenes and cues telling u what to investigate next. not to mention fi

I 100% agree and i would also add that the level design of the 3 main areas remind me also of dark souls, and this is one of the reasons i love skyward sword. Everything in that game is a puzzle, from the combat itself (figuring out how to swing the sword to hit the enemy) to the areas themselves being interconnected, having different routes and secrets. The areas felt like legit dungeons and they were so fun to me, and add to that the dungeon themselves which are among the best the series has ever had and its a fun experience which unfortunately in the original release was interruppted constantly by fi's useless handholding
Im sure people will be more appreciative of the game this time around. Yes, you still have to beat the imprisoned 3 times, yes you still have to go through a dungeon a second time, yes its still linear, but these issues are nothing compared to the great things the game does, and the removal of the tedious handholding and item descriptions i think people will see the good things the game presents this time

Being able to play SSHD in handheld mode is a big deal imo

From nintendo themselves, this goes into even more detail
