2024
Nintendo is chillin’ for the rest of 2023
Yeah it may happen either the end of this year, but likely pushed to next year.
First 2025 switch game announced, guessing it’s just the first of many that’ll launch on switch and switch 2

This would be bonkers if it actually materialized
These guys really not taking their distant last place in the console war very well

If Xbox keeps trying competitively then the industry will be all the better for it. Them putting Game Pass everywhere they can is their way of trying to keep the Xbox brand alive.
Right now they just need some goddamn worthy exclusives though.. S***’s looking dire at the moment tbh (we need some release dates bruh).

Nintendo Switchbox coming soon

!http://youtu.be/lap19DzT_CoMan I’m so unbelievably hyped for Switch 2
I REALLY hope Nintendo doesn’t f*** it up some how

GamePass will destroy Xbox in the long run. It’s not sustainable. There’s a reason Nintendo and PlayStation are still selling consoles and Xbox is struggling
No one is buying games on Xbox
I’m not tryna deny GamePass is a crazy ass good deal but it will kill Xbox eventually

Wanting Xbox to fail is a bad outlook imo. Sure you may resent them for their strong push towards digital and/or the lack of worthwhile exclusive games, but we need competition in the gaming market so that we’re not screwed over by other corporations, and we’ll get better products/deals because of it.
If I say this in the Xbox thread, I’ll probably gonna get backlash so imma say it here lol:
2023 was the year Xbox 1st-party was supposed to bounce back from the nonexistent 2022 output, and yet..
Redfall -> Starfield -> Forza Motorsport
all failed to resonate with the core-gamer audience on a wide scale.
So this is what I meant by s*** looking dire for Xbox 1st-party. Thank goodness for Hi-Fi Rush from earlier this year though cus otherwise there’d be absolutely nothing.
However that summer 2023 showcase looked very promising for the future, so things may be looking up for them.. But WHEN are the next games dropping??? Seems like Hellblade II is next up, and TGA 2023 next week will have something from Xbox.

Hellblade is another case of a multiplat game becoming exclusive. It's gonna flop.

Yeah, Hellblade is a niche series (although it kinda fits in with PlayStation’s style of 3rd-person cinematic games). I don’t see it being a must-play like Starfield was, in the sense that people will drop whatever it is they’re doing and sign up for Game Pass asap.
Xbox just needs it to be a Metacritic 85+ game to help generate some buzz for the brand in the core-gamer circle.
I think Fable will be the next massive Xbox game with mainstream appeal. I’d love it if it were Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 instead, but that doesn’t seem likely. Who knows?
What a year this was wow
Remember before the June Direct, we all kept thinking that Zelda and Pikmin were the only noteworthy Switch games we were gon get this year
2024 shaping up to be solid too, even if it’s filled to the brim with remakes (imma need that rumoured Fire Emblem remake in the next Direct lol).
I want Metroid Prime 4 in 2024 so badly though

2024 already looks great. My prediction is new console fall 2024 with mario as launch and prime 4 in like november/dec
Damn, shouldn’t have sold my switch
might cop a lite to hold me over til Switch 2
when are we thinking for release, late 2024

My prediction for Nintendo’s 2024 timeline:
-February: regular Nintendo Direct
-March: Switch 2 reveal
-October or November: Switch 2 launch
Nintendo usually releases a brand-new platform in November (or March), but since Mario Odyssey and Mario Wonder have been October launches, there’s a possibility that the next 3D Mario (aka Switch 2 launch title) could be an October release as well.
What if:
-Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition
-Baldur’s Gate 3
-Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
-Dragon’s Dogma 2
-Grand Theft Auto VI
-Metaphor: ReFantazio
-Persona 3 Reload
-Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition
are launch titles for Switch 2
that skin texture is INSANE, looking like a Fallout character
Switch is a great console but Nintendo really needs to stop the low budget parts permanently for the rest of their consoles
this is egregious now
