This is un-Nintendo like
Another base game + DLC with some missing
I don’t get it
What’s the point if everyone isn’t on the cart?
Isn’t that the point of this re-release?

This is very Nintendo of them.

Nintendo is always putting everything on the cartridge with no downloads. Not once in the entire Switch library has Nintendo done this
So to have 2 within weeks of each other is very strange

They literally just milkin the console for the final winter/xmas quarter of its lifetime where its their primary console
I think its pretty obvious all this points to a Switch 2 coming late next year

Oh yeah definitely. We’re gearing up for next gen. Switch is on fumes rn

https://twitter.com/nintendeal/status/1707153287454363852I totally would’ve copped this instead of buying the DLC directly off of the eShop
(Expansion Pack can gtfo
but Paper Mario is actually making me consider to buy 1 year of NSO + EP
)

Soon as Diddy Kong Racing is announced for the expansion pack, that will be the day I subscribe
Until then, Nintendo only getting $20 outta me

Ooooo yeah that one would be a great addition to the service.
Never played it myself but I heard a lot of high praise for it
I haven’t subbed to NSO since like 2020
Since then I’ve taken advantage of many 1-week free trials
like when the network test for Nintendo Switch Sports happened (for Mario Strikers: Battle League and Splatoon 3 as well), and this free trial that came with buying Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
I really said to myself: “Damn, Nintendo is so generous with these free trials that I feel compelled to compensate them by actually subbing again one day”
I think the next time I’ll sub is on October 19th, the eve of Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s launch, so I can buy 1 month and take advantage of game vouchers (looking at you, Super Mario RPG remake)

RDR2 on Switch??
It was an error. This makes more sense. In the back of my mind, I knew it was too good to be true lol

Switch 2 can’t come soon enough
Imagine if Steam Deck were a product with mainstream appeal like Switch.. We need someone to really light a fire under Nintendo’s asses like PSP did
Apple is getting there with their increasing push towards hardcore gaming and iPhone 15 Pro supporting TV play; they just need to introduce an affordable model and secure some worthwhile exclusives (lol good luck).

I definitely think Nintendo has learned their lesson with the positives and negatives of the Switch era
I’m fairly positive Nintendo will make a smooth transition to next gen
The rumors we’ve been getting the last month or so seem pretty legit so I think they will step their s*** up
Hey you never know with Apple. Since 2020, Apple have stepped their game up with their Macs. Seen so many tech people say Macs have the power to definitely compete with the PC Gaming space if they really wanted to. And with console ports of current gen games coming to iPhone, we might see Apple dip their toes into the gaming market. It seems that way…

Nintendo learning from their mistake of only providing TWO themes for Switch’s UI:
“Introducing a NEW THEME for Switch 2:
Basic Grey.”
Jokes aside, one thing I would like to see improved on for Switch 2 is a more rigorous push towards the physical format for software:
-3rd-party publishers putting all of the game’s content on the cartridge (no reliance on the Internet to obtain the whole game)
-3rd parties actually releasing their games on cartridge in the west (a recent example of this is the Baten Kaitos remasters only releasing physically in Asia, as with many Switch games)
As for Nintendo having a smooth transition into next-gen, it goes without saying that backwards compatibility is a must, but one better thing I would love to see is resolution & performance enhancements for old Switch games. Xbox and PlayStation have done it; surely Nintendo can too right?
Oh shoot we’re officially in Mario Wonder’s launch month

LET’S GOOOO
Going from Wonder (Oct. 20) to WarioWare (Nov. 3) to Mario RPG (Nov. 17), each release a fortnight apart, just shows Nintendo is aiming for that three-peat
Nintendo Switch was first revealed in October 2016. Now do a repeat of this and reveal the Nintendo Switch 2 this month.
I remember having a lot of fun playing Monster Hunter Rise with some KTT fam back when it released on the Switch. It seems the next Monster Hunter game is being prepared for Nintendo Switch 2, which is nice to see.
