Last years September Direct was on the 13th as well so it would be interesting to see if it lands on the 13th again or if they do it a day later or earlier.

The September 2018 Direct was on the 9/13 too, BUT that was cus of another delay (original date was 9/6, but it got delayed by a week due to the earthquake in Japan at the time).

I do remember the official statement Nintendo made about the earthquake having them postpone their Direct in 2018, but last year I don't recall there being an official statement about a delay due to the queen's passing. I do remember speculation about it, but I don't remember them delaying the Direct, at least they didn't officially say they did like in 2018. The Direct did end up taking place on the 13th, but perhaps it was initially supposed to take place earlier.
