An NVIDIA employee has confirmed the existence of the Tegra239 chip which has been rumoured since 2021 as being developed for the next-generation Nintendo Switch. His comment which can be accessed at linux.org and states:

Adding support for Tegra239 SoC which has eight cores in
a single cluster. Also, moving num_clusters to soc data
to avoid over allocating memory for four clusters always.

This incident further corroborates reliable NVIDIA leaker kopite7kimi's assertion that NVIDIA will use a modified version of its T234 Orin chip for the next-generation Switch.

As of this leak, we now know the following details about the next Nintendo Switch console:

• T239 SoC (info from above leak)
• 8-core CPU - likely to be ARM Cortex A78C/A78 (inferred from above leak)
• Ampere-based GPU that may incorporate some Lovelace features (source)
• The 2nd generation Nintendo Switch graphics API contains references DLSS 2.2 and raytracing support (source)

Overall seems like Switch 2 will be about 5x more powerful than the current switch (docked)

More powerful than a ps4 but less than a ps5, which means it should be able to run new third party games at 1080p, which could then be upscaled to 4k with dlss tech, while docked obviously

I’m getting all the final Shine Sprites in Delfino Plaza and just gotta get the final blue coins there and in Corona Mountain to get to that 119 Sprites before I face Bowser so I can get that 100% ending

Man I did so many of the hardest levels in the game today. S*** had me ready to throw my Switch lmao. Super frustrating but once I got the rhythm down for the level, I beat the level in under 5 tries.

But man are some of those levels annoying lmao

I’ll probably beat the game tomorrow. Judging from the parental control app, I’m about 40 hours or so in so I’m sure I’ll 100% it in under 45 hours

Man, finally beating this and 100%-ing Sunshine for the first time ever just further cemented my love for this game since I was a kid

Super Mario Sunshine will forever be my favorite video game of all time

I did it a few years back. simple enough. make a ticket and sent it to them and they ship it you back.

Now mine took around 7 weeks but this was also at the peak of when people found out Nintendo was doing free repairs so I doubt it takes that long still but who knows.
