Yeah, the lack of both of these aspects were incredibly disappointing. I'm actually shocked those were the traditional "dungeons" in this game, especially since legitimately everything else had so much care put into it. I am very cautious going into this next one lol. Still have hope though.

I keep wanting to say BotW2 Gotta get used to calling it by its real name after 3 years of calling it BotW2.

I felt this way about SWISH but I adapted to TLOP quickly

Finally caught up to the thread. I think what really hurt this direct was the fact that:

1. there were too many JRPGs so you kind of just stop giving a f*** after the first three are announced and really ruined the pacing of the direct

2. the fact that Bayonetta 3, Mario + Rabbids, and Pokemon were previously announced so this fall/winter lineup is already known and the hype is kind of fading

3. the overconfidence of WW/TP/Metroid Prime ports being a part of this direct so everyone was looking for those specific games and not really appreciating/liking everything else that was presented today

Pikmin 4 announcement, Zelda title and release date and I guess Fire Emblem and Octopath are your main games that get announced.

Zelda can only carry so hard for a 40 minute presentation and Pikmin 4 getting no gameplay trailer hurts.

The Nintendo 64 game announcements are exciting and very cool but you have to consider that if you aren't a Mario Party or Pokemon game, you have to wait essentially 5 months to get a 64 game that you give a damn about so that also ruins any kind of anticipation there is for the subscription model. (I personally grew up on Stadium so I'm very excited to revisit how annoying the game is.. Mini games were fun AF though).

Also Splatoon 3 is fun AF and I'm glad I copped it. Someone brought it up earlier, but Nintendo does need to fix the rage quitting. I'm getting constant disconnects and it's extremely frustrating to play through.
