!https://youtu.be/RACac1f__74Fingers crossed. I know it’s not something we need but it’s a nice option for completionists and adds a bit of fun to the experience.

Nintendo has already started, they added in game achievements to Mario Golf a few months ago.

Not talking about that, those have been in nintendo games for a long time. Moreso talking about xbox/ps style achievements

Oh you’re talking about achievements that’s in the OS. Yeah I’m not sure if Nintendo wants to get that sophisticated with their UI. I know several gamers who are begging Nintendo to have that type of achievement system, even more so than having more powerful hardware. It’s interesting on why you don’t want that, care you explain?

I always disliked the xbox achievements because at least for me it makes the games im playing feel like doing chores rather than having fun. I dont know why but i feel pressured to try and get all the achievements since once i get a few of them it would feel wrong not to get them all, and while some are easy, every game has a few achievements locked by main progress, others are grindy, tedious and generally are there just to make you artificially play more to get that sweet achievement. I dont want this to come off as me thinking achievements are objectively wrong but they have this effect on me. Nintendo games often have achievements too but they either unlock after finishing the game, are easy to obtain or give you some actual in game rewards so i dont feel pressured to do them

If we still needed any confirmation, now its basically confirmed new switch has dlss
Also, if they using dlss nintendo needs to add antialiasing to their games otherwise dlss will make the games look like s*** so that's a plus too

One of my biggest pet peeves is aliasing so I really hope they do iron that out
I don’t like them jagged shimmering zig zag edges in my games.

New Switch a day one cop tbh
Even over the PS5 for me, which I was contemplating copping as well
Just discovered the N64 emulator for the Switch
Zelda is great, but Mario Kart is really frustrating with input lag it seems. Need Donkey Kong on it though

Understood. I can see your way of thinking with certain games like Zelda, hunting for achievements could take the experience of the game way, it’s a free flowing game that is built on exploring. However a competitive games like S3 or even Switch Sports potentially, I can see achievements adding more value to the game.
