I’mma be real witcha this is a fat W for Nintendo
Switch Sports long overdue but is gonna be a staple party game
Doubling the tracks in MK8 is amazing. MK9 can wait, doesn’t seem like the Switch can do much more in terms of capabilities to really make a noticeably better Mario Kart game. And that’s cool, I’d assume what we really want is more maps and characters anyways.
Fire Emblem and Xenoblade coming for all the weebs out there. Great announcements though, highly praised games
Earthbound is cool. I think at this point Nintendo needs to really take a look at the climate of gaming and what Microsoft is doing. Imo Nintendo should do what they did with the Wii U and have a full list of their games for each platform, except make it all FTP through the NSO. Not sure why they’re drip feeding their older platformed games, let alone why they haven’t included platforms like the GBA yet.
MK9 can wait? It'll be 10 years by the time Mario Kart 8 dlc is done

Yes. MK9 can wait, stop crying.
A new Mario Kart would likely introduce new mechanics how 7/8 added gliding and underwater, would change up the roster, give more original new courses, add more kart parts. It would make the whole game feel fresh, not just the scenery. And a lot of people have played MK8 to death
Mario Strikers and EarthBound the only things that really interest me from the Direct, but it was a good one tbh
Diverse selection of games, something for everyone

They literally just ported the mobile game assets for the Mario Kart DLC, s*** looks trash.
Keep it real wit me
Would I be playing myself if I got an OLED? I have the day 1 switch

If you have a day 1 switch its better in basically everything so its not a bad deal at all

I’m definitely leaning toward it because my battery life is s***e and lately I’ve been playing more in handheld. Kinda worried about burn in tho. Is it an Issue? I play a lot of lumines/tetris which has a static UI

Someone made a test for 1.8k hours with botw and there werent any noticeable issues so its pretty good. But just in case, you can put the swith in sleep mode for like 5 minutes once in a while and i doubt it will ever be an issue.
Edit: also tetris games on it look incredible, i remember a lot of reviewers saying that

https://twitter.com/BrerOswald/status/1491553383676788737it doesn’t look that different from the rest of that game
if you playing Mario Kart for graphics then you played yourself from the start
lmao did they really announce Switch Sports? A copy of the Wii game?
The laziness

And yet it’s still selling millions every year. We’re not seeing MK9 for a while, money talks
Battle League looks awesome. I need a Switch by the summer for real

If this the case then the whole gaming industry is lazy

Well yah
That's what we were all complaining about for the past 6 years

You're telling me it's not?
You're telling me it's not?
Didn’t say it wasn’t, just seemed weird to point out Switch Sports out of all games. It’s a casual game that isn’t supposed to be taken seriously.
Tbh switch sports is the last thing i ever expected, so in that way its not lazy. It would've been lazy if they made a mario baseball or another sport game, but Switch sports isnt imo

it's probably taking more time to work out a worthwhile, fun gimmick to justify a new numbered entry. MK8 and its gravity-defying tracks were top tier so they can't follow that up with just anything.
