I got a normal sized 3DS last year and i dont mind the screen size, but it does feel a bit small and crampy to hold.

I got used it sorta, but I kinda do wish i just got an XL instead for the ergonomics. Plus it's still more portable than most devices.

Weird ass question but what size are your hands? Mine are nearly 8 inches

I’m trying to gauge if I’d have a similar cramping problem. I really want the standard for better DPI but if it’s too uncomfortable that’s a deal breaker

Hah, I'd consider my hands to be average. I'm 5'8" for reference. I haven't measured my hands. I can get used to it, but depending on the game it does get awkward. Last game I played was a bit of Ocarina of Time, and that game has a lot of auto aim or lock on. Also the camera follows you.

You're also using the touch screen a lot for commands as well, in general, so you will always be taking your hands off for a moment for most games.

I don't think the DPI would be noticeable once you had an XL if you swayed that way. I do know 3DS have a screen lottery too. So I'd def ask to turn it on and get a good look at it.

Maybe try to find a game store that sells vintage conoles? So you can hold them.
