Ps5 has no games

Either a 3d mario is dropping this winter or gta 6 is coming to switch 2, too.
End me if none of these happen

-online Squad Strike
-Steve no longer broken

With Switch 2 increasingly getting day & date Japanese 3rd-party games, there’s less incentive to cop a PS5

i'm not a smash die hard so I'd be fine with an NS2 edition instead of a brand new one this gen. but i feel like the masses would be disappointed to just get an upgrade instead of a new game

Yeah definitely, 8 years after Ultimate and all we get is a NS2E would be pretty disappointing, unless they announce a brand-new one at the same time and this re-release is just meant to be a stopgap.

Plus there’s no guarantee that “Everyone is Here!” would be repeated for the next Smash with all the 3rd-party IPs involved so perhaps it would be easier to revisit Ultimate to ensure all the 3rd-party guest characters are here.

I would do very bad things for online squad strike

On top of 1v1 online Squad Strike, I think 3v3 team SS would be amazing; you and your buddies against the world
You gotta take turns to play, but at least you’ll get to do GameChat and some backseat gaming while waiting lol

Also I would love to see rollback netcode, 120fps, Smash Run (online & 4-player split-screen), World of Light updated with DLC fighters, new bosses and 2-player co-op, etc.

There’s a lot they can do with a NS2 Edition or 'Deluxe' version to keep us satisfied before the next proper Smash drops

The switch 2 has no games...It's because Japan prefers handhelds. Everyone knows this except famitisu warriors that crashed out because a 5 year old ps5 outsold the switch 2 in the US for January

But switch 2 has mario kart, pokémon and kirby air riders, all of which are games japanese players really f*** with, as evidenced by the numbers they've done in that market?
Ps5 has been selling poorly there for almost 5 years at this point, there's no need to bring up console warring or bitterness.
These arguments never lead to anything productive tho so i'll just leave it at that

This is most plentiful I've felt with video games at one point in time probably my whole life. Or maybe since like 2013 or so. I'd even say that ignoring the dlcs which add so much to multiple games for me.

Why don't you say it has no games that interest you? The sales obviously prove people are buying and playing these games.

I wasn’t the first person to say that "no games" thing. Every console has games. But if the person I replied to wants to say a console that objectively has more games has no games. Then following that logic, the switch 2 has less than no games. We can both turn a brains off. Like a person can buy a switch 2 to be their main console or just for exclusives. Even if there aren’t that many exclusives or none of them fits someone’s tastes. That console STILL has games. And not selling well in ONE market isn’t an overall representation of sales. That’s called an outlier and comes with specific context.

Ps5 has no games is true if you own a PC. If you don't, there is plenty on there

In general unless you own all platforms and have a lot of money, all platforms got games, too many even. Always been a dumb argument when presented seriously.

switch 2 def needs more exclusives but the ps5 literally has nothing besides astrobot and ghost of yotei, the latter of which will probably end up on pc in a couple months lol

some of those ps5 "exclusives" are selling better on pc than on ps5

I mean it's come out very recently. It's fair to not have a ton of games yet in general even ignoring the ps5 thing here. And even though it actually has a ton of exclusives I feel is ignoring the actual frustration of it not having "major" games on it yet. Even donkey Kong is a pretty niche type of mega Nintendo specific early title for a console. It's definitely a different approach but it obviously doesn't have "no games" let alone limited amounts.

If it doesn't have games that interest a person, no one is pressuring them to buy it, there's just no reason to argue with exaggerations.

I copped my buddy a day 1 console along with mine and he's been disappointed because he's never owned a Nintendo console and just isn't super into anything on it yet aside from Hades 2 and now resident evil. He's at least excited for some upcoming releases, but we both agree he probably should have waited. I bought his ass Stardew and he just won't play

Funny enough he's tryna get me to get Mario tennis for us to play though, somehow the first game he's mad excited for
