The vast majority of that time they were around 14-18th. It’s not like his numbers are wildly inflated due to playing in the current game.

I know he’ll get in, but I just don’t think of him in the same light as all the other QBs that are in the HOF.

Eli was consistently upper middle of the pack, and never really had the highs of other QBs. The stats don’t reflect it, but Romo’s peak, McNabb’s, Vick’s, Palmer’s, and probably some others are all higher than Eli’s in the same era. Eli was able to stick around a couple more years than he probably should’ve been and that’s what put him into the top ten in stats.
