edelman's career is likely over. f***ing legend. never made a pro bowl (dumb) but second only to Jerry Rice in playoff receiving yards. his contribution to the second pats dynasty can't be overstated. just look at his stats in those 3 title runs. in those 9 playoff games this is what he averaged:

12 receptions/game (equivalent of a 192 catch season)
112 yards/game (equivalent of a 1792 yard season)

It is a boring topic because there is no debate, he is 100% a hall of famer!

since holographic brought it up I will say this about edelman in the HOF. no he won't make it but he probably belongs there.

I mean that's the thing with dynasties. he was one of the most important players on a once-every-ten-years dynasty. the stats I posted above prove it. he has a SB MVP. he has marquee moments in those title runs that will be played forever.

so yea he's not a HOF player off his regular season stats, nor close to it. and I'm not saying we should start handing out HOF entries left and right to players who were in a dynasty. but when you're one of THE key guys in a dynasty, idk, that's a level of sports fame that lends itself to being in the hall of said fame.
