    forget the name of it but there's this chinese appliance company with a really interesting organizational structure, they give near total independence to small teams and reward with an equity stake in whatever product line they create.. couple of them have branched out into independent firms with seed funding from the appliance company

    essentially just incubate a bunch of startups but all under the auspices and creative guidance of the parent firm

    they've had well above industry returns for like a decade

    Seems like an evolution of that company that gives their employees free time to do whatever they want but at the end the employee has to show what they have been working on

    Remember reading about it as part of a study that after a certain point wages aren’t a motivating factor on performance

    buying a small business with established cashflows and supplier relationships would be the only play for prestigious MBA grads if people were motivated by wages/earnings
