But gross beat and the pattern click ins thats what i love most tho 😓😓😓 thats why idk if i could switch perm. Being able to just quickly click in my drum patterns and change it fast is everything to me

there's a grossbeat equivalent plugin to half time sounds n s***. i used it in the beat i made on stream

    How’d you do that

i forgot how but there's some tutorials out there on it

also you can use a drum rack if you want to do pattern clicks. i just prefer dragging and dropping my samples in except for hi hats

Only thing is that i don’t use gross beat for pitching tho i just use it because when you pitch with it you get this effect that makes it sound likenits chopping on every beat but other than that I wouldn’t be using it for anything other than the volume effect. Thats the only reason i use it tho i always immediately go to the pitch settings and use it to make whatever im using it on sound choppy

I think you can use the ableton plugin called grain delay to get that effect

I’ve made some weird as s*** messing with that (it offers pitch stuff too)

Drum rack or impulse is what you’ll be using then

Also for that arp sounding thing with those vocals on the beat i did last night that wasnt an arp i just sent all the vocals over to its own parallel bus and did more stuff than this but to simply i put gross beat on there to pitch and and make it sound choppy and then had an autopan plugin on there working slightly

Yeah my friend has showed me that but i gotta be able to pitch my sounds in the piano roll. When i pitch in the piano roll i like how the sound drags out when i pitch it down

Everytime i make a beat i just go in there with nothing in mind its rare that i sit down and have an idea of what i want to do. I have my own style of things that i like to do so i just automatically just throw together what I like and the ideas just come as i go along and I let it just see where it takes me. Only thing that might make me have an idea is when i hear a sample that i wanna use but then still at that i dont have too much of an idea for the beat i just wanna use the sample

I recommend trying to work like that tbh because it frees you’re mind to more options and keeps your creativity going instead of trying to get that one idea out that you have in your head which can work sometimes but not always

There’s pitch bending for piano roll. You gotta open the envelope window and then it lets you do it

Like you know when you have your bass or something and you just bring it down a note? Just that but with regular sounds that’s why i like fl because you can just do that with a regular pattern and also piano roll without the special drum thing

oh i think i know what you mean now.
so like you can have all your sounds in one "drum rack" or pattern while still being able to change a single sound's pitch via piano roll

yea ableton dont got that unless you are in separate tracks.
unless you just automate the transpose or bend the sounds too

you ca n do it but it has more steps

kinda weird. but it would be easier if each sound was in their own simpler/sampler
