i wanna work on the build up more bc in headphones it sounds nice but it falls super flat to me out loud and i didn't really know what to do w the drums so that doesn't help either lmao

it sounds good maybe some filtering could really open up some parts and some of the sounds need a little warmth to them. Maybe some tape plugins could help that out a lot. I really like it though

How tf do I found the sound I wanna make? I'm tired of being so influenced by Kaytranada but also I just dont know what other sound id wanna focus on.

Im very business minded so i know i have to stay somewhat consistent as a producer in what my sound is in order to build a brand and market myself to genre specific artists. But ive been i such a creative rut lately, working in the box on the computer feels so fake.

I dont wanna make trap cause those kinds of rappers are a******s and i dont wanna work with them in that mundane ass genre. Trap is the only thing thats selling rn unless youre already established. I feel like the lofi beat thing is just a youtube gimmick, heyday for boombap was the 90's.

You don’t have to make trap u can make boom bap club s***. It’s good to be open minded and try to make trap because it’s selling and if youre thinking from a business perspective then do that.

Even producing a guys who project and I did it without trap beats

Just keep dropping stuff until ppl wanna work with you or send your stuff to ppl

Both I guess, mainly I want to work with singers. This is just an example but I really like what Malay did with Frank and Kaytra does with Shay Lia. I like those kinds of artistic relationships
