Don’t f***ing do it.
It will make everything sound stiff, sometimes I compress my hi hat but only as an artistic effect

Theres literally no point because its all programmed. All the volume for a hihat, kick snare remains the same because its programmed, and it hits at the same volume all the time. For live drums compression sounds alot better

But then again if it sounds good it sounds good
