I was trying to mix this beat yesterday and I was tripping like why this sound so muddy and loud?

It's because I forgot to put a limiter

Took me an hour to figure that out

my mix still sound muddy I have the worst studio with no f***ing padding

Did you play with the EQs?

Yes, my highs are still questionable, the balance of that with lows sounds weird, and a lot of the comping is awful.

Make sure everything below around 500 is in mono and look for the muddy frequencies between 250-500 and cut what you can find that’s not sounding right. Also make sure your levels are right before you get to using an EQ. Always mess with the levels before you get to cutting or boosting anything. Panning things in similar frequencies can also help. One more tip is to use Mid-Side EQ which if you have the fabfilter Pro Q it has one built in

i just uploaded all the dilla stuff i had
the dilla rack was always weird cause its an ableton rack, but that s*** never worked for me so i just used the sounds inside the "samples" folder.

One more thing is to make sure all you tracks average at -18dbfs before you level anything and you can use a VUmeter to help with that too
