Tell me if y’all relate to this
I’ll be going about my day listening to music then hear beats that I love and immediately feel inspired to make some. Then I’ll be working something and can’t come up with a melody that sticks to me for s***. Like I’ll make a loop and not feel anything from it so I go ahead and click “new project” and start over
It seems like the only beats I like are the ones I make “on accident.” Even when I randomly come up with a melody in my head while I’m work it sounds GREAT in my head but then I actually make it on FL and it sounds like s*** 🤷🏽♂️

Finish your beats and keep working on your weaknesses. Stop trying to make an instant classic. This s*** takes f***ing time. I have the same struggle too. Definitely pick up some instrument. Atleast a $100+ 37 keys keyboard or baritone ukulele to play with when your eyes need a break from the screen. Keep grindin!
I got melodics, I’ll let y’all know if it’s worth it or not in a month. I already know my way around a piano but want to improve.
need more handpan in rap music plz

bro those “accident” beats are the best and worst at the same time cause you have no idea how you even made that s*** but it’s still fire

That’s how music is generally made to a degree. It’s bout feel and sound. Music theory is good but it’s a set of s*** that works. It’s not the done and all. Let’s stay inspired family!
Is there a way to use an iphone as a mic and have it record directly into FL?
I know Steve lacy records his vocals on his projects with a pop filter and his iphone. Maybe saving it into your phone and then getting into your pc via USB or email may be the way to go if that’s not a thing. Do ya googles lol.
