take care was primarily produced using xpand
Thats cool thanks for the info. Looking for new plugins so ill check it out. Do you happen to know any vsts that give an orchestral sound like Earned It by the weeknd? Philharmonik gonna eat my wallet
Wdym?
Like when you sample and there's a harsh frequency? You could do subtractive eq or whatever its called and make a sharp peak down on the frequency
Or (if you have fl) open edison and denoise it
Yeah a harsh freq i guess, the ones that make my ears ring.

dam. orchestral sounds. youll prob need some kontakt expansions to get the good sounds. i dont really use orchestral sounds but sometimes i use omnisphere for it.
what is an audio interface ..
P much what baella said. Its an external sound card for your computer that offers better range and more control over the quality of sound.

How do you like the sound selection? Are they interesting? Do you use it often?

I don’t use it anymore because I don’t use presets anymore, but It has sooo many categories of presets (pads, brass, bells, pianos, strings, leads, and the list goes on.) some sounds are very unique, you can layer multiple presets at once within the plug-in. tweak delays, reverb, attack, decay, sustain, release, cutoff and so much more. It’s a great tool if you have a melody or chord progression in mind but don’t have knowledge of creating sounds from scratch.

Word thank you bro. Im assuming when you say you dont use presets, you mean you make your own, right? How does that work?

you make your own synths with any synth plugin. even the stock plugins are good at making sounds. its all the same theory.
xpand came with my midi keyboard i bought a few years ago. its nice. has nice choir, pads, and bellts, and some cool ethnic sounds. i dont use it anymore cause mac catalina doesnt support it lol.

Yup I make my own patches in Sylenth1. I just find presets take out some of the fun of producing for me personally. I like to work for my sounds and be creative. Nothing wrong with whatever other people do though.
I learned synthesis from a program called Syntorial. It’s $130 but it teaches you how to use synthesizers from the ground up
