Just counted how many songs I have on my phone that aren't finished/released... 60
That's just on my phone.
Nothing is done at all lmao
I love music and would love if someone can critique my work. Just posted a beat today too. Anything is helpful. Advice on melody, drums, mix, etc. just help me grow.

You use pro tools?
For recording and mixing yah I might have to get with fruity loops tho
Last time I checked it was kinda difficult tryna find a crack tho or maybe Im just stupid
anybody know any good tutorials or something to learn how to use ableton? ive had it for a while and messed around with it a couple times but i wanna really learn to use it to its fullest extent

maybe not the best for tutorials but once you get a grasp of the basics just watch a bunch of Kenny beats twitch streams.
Literally one of the only dudes using ableton for beat making videos related to hip hop/trap style music.
but tbh once you learn how to use ableton you can still learn a lot from fruity loops based tutorials. The interface/layout may be different but you can pretty much translate most fl tutorials to ableton.
If you’re completely new to all this tho and your interests are in trap/hip hop music I’d recommend dropping ableton and picking up fruity loops just because of the unlimited tutorials/resources available on youtube.
Ableton is goat for sample based music tho

Read the manual and just look s*** up on YouTube whenever you wanna learn how to make or do something specific. Try to recreate your favorite beats
But yeah read the manual. Most of the time the tutorials kinda read off the manual
Gonna be out of a laptop for a few weeks and figured I’d try my hand at producing and recording with my iPhone. Anyone ITT have experience with this, and any tips?
new trap vibes
That trumpet is life dawg this s*** hard af
Produced this entire album (also did most of the vocals). Not really sure what genre it falls under. Got a lot of synth pop/cloud rap/trap influence in it. My best production work to date, I’m proud of it. It probably doesn’t hold up on a technical level to a lot of the beats ITT, but hopefully y’all fw with the vibes

One of the dudes from disclosure started streaming on twitch this week and man it’s so dope to see him make a beat from beginning to end
U think it’s gonna be lame when he lays down the chords but the second he plays the hats over it it just completely changes the entire vibe and then when he adds that crazy bass line

It gets really frustrating cause of the size of the screen
couldn’t do it but I know it’s ppl who made entire beat albums off their phone (one dude on soulection like 8 years ago put out an iPhone beat tape that was not bad at all)
