Don't think I've ever been so checked out of the UFC before. This year has been so bad, every fight so far has felt totally pointless and it'll probably stay that way until Islam puts his belt on the line in August or whatever

They're really mailing it in under this new Paramount deal. I think it's pretty obvious that this organization has plateaued until Dana gives up control and hands it over to someone who actually still cares about it

I'm pretty he already gave up control he's just the face of it. Hunter Campbell the one running it

dana doesn’t have control, he doesn’t do s*** anymore, it’s all hunter and sean shelby. dana wasn’t even involved when they were trying to get jon on the white house card. he’s just the face, he’s not putting together fights, negotiating contracts, building events or anything like that. he said so under oath and not a single fighter ever mentions him when they talk about getting signed or how they got a fight offer. even the situations with mokaev and francis were mostly dana talking about how hunter and sean felt towards those guys

I don't believe that just because he said it under oath. He can't tell the truth to save his life and it's not like all of his buddies in the Trump administration would punish him if they found out he was lying

listen to fighter interviews, listen to dana’s interviews, listen to helwani, it’s clear dana doesn’t do s*** anymore. i haven’t heard a single fighter in the last like 5 years say dana offered them a fight or called them or negotiated a new contract with them or anything. mvp said he never even talked to dana before he signed to the ufc. pico was signed by hunter. gable was signed by hunter. i get you’re disconnected but it’s clear as day

The only thing Dana has done in recent years is the Contender series lol

Also, if you’re upset with the product, you might want to take a closer look at the fighters too. It’s not all on the matchmakers.

I'm not saying that Dana is negotiating contracts or fights, but he pretty obviously still has final say on basically everything that happens in the organization. He uses the term "we" a lot in the post fight pressers when answering questions about future plans

It's definitely not 100% on the matchmakers. They can't control injuries or the lack of star power, I totally get that. I do wish they were more strict about title defenses and who gets shots though

I was thinking a couple weeks they’ve got to start requiring mandatory defenses within a certain time span & if you’re injured, either vacate or order a interim right away & keep these divisions moving.

So much of the roster is either aging, having personal issues, injured, observing Ramadan, ducking certain fights, in the dog house or something. Then the guys they want to force on us are either uninteresting or just a straight up fraud.

They just have no stars whatsoever. It’s actually kinda crazy.

  • Like at this point Armen is a f***ing streamer lol

Making Gaethje vs Paddy for the interim lightweight title while Arman was sitting right there was so ridiculous

We really should be getting Arman x Topuria.

I honestly believe they thought Justin was washed enough for Paddy to beat him & then set up Paddy x Topuria.

I think you got it somewhat backwards

It’s not Dana, at least Dana was apart of building the company and rolled the dice and took a lot of risks because he believed in it. Him and the Fertitta’s really loved this s*** at a point in time.

Hunter Campbell and whoever else is in charge was not apart of that grinding/building process. That dude is pretty much gonna operate the UFC how Nick Khan and them dudes are pillaging WWE for every dollar they can get.

That usually happens when the original people that were in charge either sell a company or they just step down. The new person doesn’t have that personal connection to the company.

  • You can see the parallels of how UFC and WWE are operating very similarly rn.

  • Itsuki vs Ritu and onwards should be some heat, tryna get home in time rn

  • Holy s*** what a main event

  • CTE Speedrunning

  • Holy s*** he did it

  • I f***ing doubted him

  • Ive had a horrible month but this saved it ngl
