idk why people are expecting jon to be stripped right now. the next ppv without a headliner is ufc noche, which is in september and it looks like volk vs yair 2 is being planned for that. the ufc has no reason to strip jon and put tom vs gane or volkov and put two title fights on a card, they don't need it

to me, the deadline has always been msg in november. i think jon told the ufc that's what he wants a while back and dana and co have been trying to get him to fight earlier and he's refusing because he basically holds all the leverage. jon knows it's the biggest fight the ufc can make right now and they need him to make it, tom vs anyone else isn't anywhere close. they either fight in november or jon gets stripped and tom headlines msg

imo the only way jon gets stripped before that is if ddp pulls out and they need an immediate replacement fight for ddp/khamzat and they can get volkov or gane to step up on short notice. then they'll strip jon. otherwise tommy just has to ride this out till november
