finding new Mach on soundcloud autoplay rly one of my favorite things
edit: wait I actually heard this tape before but didn't remember the track at all
The Mach-Hommy and Kaytranada Haitian connection was so powerful on Pay For Haiti. Hope that becomes a major track.
Gonna be a great Friday. Thanksgiving left overs too...
And new RAP Ferreira !
Been a big fan for a few years so it was only right to join this thread

You’ll get some difference answers and suggestions but I think Pray For Haiti is the most accessible. Came out earlier this year + was a big moment for mach so it’s pretty streamlined and accessible in terms of his style

First you should listen either HBO or The GAT. Both showcase his range and then go to either Wap Konn Joj or Pray for Haiti if you like the new Griselda sound & Conductor Williams

HBO ( Start Here)
Dump Gawd: Hommy Edition
The GAT (his best body of work)
Hard Lemonade
He also has a bunch of collab albums with Tha God Fahim, which is a whole other rabbit hole

HBO and Pray for Haiti are the longest, most traditional album-length ones; the majority of his other works come in under 30 minutes. HBO is hailed as his classic and Pray for Haiti is the most accessible one, so they’re both good starting points. Of the shorter stuff that’s streaming, definitely Wap Konn Jòj, Fête des Morts and Mach’s Hard Lemonade. The newest ones that have come to streaming, Chinese Algebra and Notorious Dump Legends, are good but they’re not solo projects so I wouldn’t start there.
Edit: But everything not on streaming that you have to dig a little deeper for is complete and utter 🔥

HBO that's what got me hooked
