I'm trying to make out what Billy Woods is tryna say in the Mach feature. Is he rapping about fighting in the Syrian Civil war? He talks about dead birds, arming the kurds, and getting off an airplane smelling like a goat and that's all I can make out. If he actually did then mad respect.

Nothing wrong with Mach’s singing

I’ve definitely heard complaints about his singing when playing his music in mixed company. I wouldn’t say JuJu’s any more accessible or conventionally pleasant than Mach, though; most regular music listeners probably don’t want to hear anyone sing like either of them.

Damn that sucks. I think it’s great but I wonder if not using autotune holds him back.

I think it just comes down to personal preference. His vocals have never bothered me and I would hate it if he used Autotune, but I like a lot of music where vocals aren’t being sung perfectly. People also seem to have higher expectations when it comes to hip-hop. How many people have we seen complain about how Mach’s stuff is mixed and mastered?

For me it’s a track by track thing. Sometimes he shines on a hook sometimes he doesn’t. While I like that he doesn’t use auto tune often, when he does use it sparingly like in Bloody Penthouse, it sounds really nice. His voice has definitely gotten a lot better with age too. Not just better at singing but more character and playful melodies and what not.
