Passion of the Weiss is virtually the only worthwhile review site I’ve seen. They do great great work.

Weiss writes incredibly well, most of the guys that write for him go onto write for pitchfork and sites like that.

I'm surprised that Weiss himself (rather than other staff authors) hasn't written about Mach, at all, as far as I can see? Seems strange to me as I would have thought Mach would have been up his alley. Maybe because he is pretty LA-focused?

You are right with him being LA centric I listened to a podcast where he addressed the importance of local news and journalism. And how it is a integral part of any community.

Also he is more into draeko and rappers that are very different to him. He has a unique taste and writes about thinga very passionately ex. Supreme clientele on pitchfork.

I think if he doesn't love it he won't write about it. Just for the sake of it. His recent stuff on britney and draeko are really great
