I dont understand why people love benny so much, I dont get what's so great about his lyricism or flow in anyway. Guy just has the same verse over and over with 4 bars of emotions sprinkled in sometimes which his label mate conway does better anyway. Neither is he weird enough to compare with west, he is just olay to me. Let me know if you think he is great and why so really interested to see other people's perspective.

you know how underground rap fans are like niggas just hype up anyone who is a lyrical rapper of some kind. there’s plenty of boring and trash rappers being hyped up hus for instance or flee lord so niggas will act like benny bringing that feeling back when he isn’t. nigga not even a memphis bleek s*** not even amil. you can predict every verse lol it’s just sports reference, reference to selling coke and then 2/3 bars of some kinda acknowledgment of his mental/surroundings

Respect for putting this out there. I disagree with every single one.

Mine is FDM is overrated. It has amazing moments (eg, TJIU), but it don't crack Mach's top 5\. It's not accessible- his vocals are mixed terrible, Earl chops are muddy, and they're rapping over samples with vocals so it's hard to hear. I think there's this nostalgia element where because it was many's introduction to Mach after the Earl co-sign, the project stays warm.

To think FDM was originally uploaded without TJIU and Kawsality...

Man, DM2 was an incredible project. Imagine having to pick a favorite track off that thing.

I don’t really rate FDM and WKJ with any of the longer projects, they feel too much like (and I think officially are) EPs. I know that line is blurry with him (you could almost count The GAT, Luh Hertz and MHL as EPs re: runtimes) but I don’t categorize them with HBO, Dumpmeister, etc.
