Aw, man. It had to grow on me a little (it’s pretty ugly-sounding and impenetrable initially) but it was my AOTY by December. The new one has more pleasant-sounding beats but I don’t find it as cohesive as Time Crisis overall. Time Crisis felt like HBO with all of the sound bites (a more abstract HBO, granted), this one is more like Hommy Edition or something (even though it has some of the same songs).

Also wish Meme Magick had a Sadhu. verse. He had one of the best lines on Time Crisis: “How you gon’ let the white devil take the planet from you trickle down to letting white b****es take advantage of you?” Still love it, though. Can’t wait for whatever else they’ve got together (I think NSFW is a different project, since this one doesn’t have the aforementioned Ralph Bakshi artwork?).
