Now how many of them 120 tapes have you heard tho
Cuz that’s a massive amount of music to consume. That aint really nothin to flex about. Quality always over quantity.

All of them. But there’s still a lot of people who look forward to Fahim’s drops

I feel like most people didn’t know he was Jewish until that footage leaked of them shooting the “Jew Tang” video. I don’t know if it can be attributed directly to Mach (Mach said even when he’s exec producing Droog that Droog is doing his own thing and Mach’s there more to keep him in a good headspace than tell him what to do), but that paragraph Droog wrote about the album makes it sound like he was ashamed/afraid/whatever to really talk about his heritage before now.

That's crazy
Yeah I never knew that Your Old Droog was Jewish.

Same here. Really enjoying this new album. His voice always threw me off before.
what does RST and BDE mean anyway
Looked up “BDE”. It stands for “Baruch Dayan Emet”, which means “blessed is the true judge”; it’s a phrase people use when they hear a person has died. Not sure about “RST”, though.
The RST beat is better and also Dooms verse on that while not as high IQ as BDE is the catchiest rap verse I’ve heard all year. I’d go with that one personally.
I like Mach's verse on BDE more than RST aside from the RST "bend you like light through a prism" line lol...agree about the beat and Doom's verse though
Long time Mach Stan, long time lurker. Long time hater of YOD but I've actually enjoyed this new s*** a lot.
That being said, someone still needs to make a cut of just Mach's contributions

Yeah YODs verses are getting more serious so it’s easier to listen to

He’s been rapping like this for a while now, honestly.

Swore he answered two questions (is he going to ever play a show in Haiti and what is his favorite Fahim project) but they were one word answers (yes and TGIF).

if you listen to his prior material and compare it to mach era (especially after reading the most recent interview) you can see how he clearly tried something with his music that he didn't really want to do, its very apparent on Packs and if you notice his promotion run (that video with Wiki and Sean Evans in a bodega looks like all three have NO idea what's going on. I like that vid but it reeks of editorial room idea) at around that time. compared to his super early stuff that was him doing his thing and its clear he didn't like doing that same thing under the label.
now hes on doing him again but with the mastermind behind him that actually gets what hes trying to do and helps him embrace his different identities as new-yorker, rapper, child of immigrants, etc. and makes them come out more organically

Real. Also read an interview with him last night where he talks about embracing his roots, which he apparently used to be ashamed of

That’s actually pretty interesting. I’d heard of the riots before but never really knew any of the details about it.
I’m slowly working through Mach’s discography. He’s so ridiculously good.
What’s your fav so far?
